We are hiring a Regional Operations Manager for one of our clients, a full-service distributor and fabricator providing conveyor system solutions to the manufacturing and material-handling industries. Their product line includes conveyor belting, belting accessories, power transmission products, hose, gasket, rubber, and a wide range of components and equipment. They pride themselves on delivering quality, value-added solutions backed by strong local service and technical expertise.

Role Summary

The Regional Operations Manager will lead operational execution across multiple branches within the assigned region. This role is responsible for profitability, process standardization, regulatory compliance, safety, and talent development across operations and account management teams. You will work directly with the Regional Vice President, Business Unit Leaders, and Branch Operations Managers to ensure top-tier customer service, efficient resource management, and scalable growth. This position is ideal for a hands-on operational leader who can drive performance improvement, lead people, and scale processes across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee branch operations across the assigned region to deliver profitability and efficiency through standardized processes and industry-leading performance.

Hire, train, develop, and manage Branch Operations Managers and their teams, ensuring strong operational execution and customer support.

Maximize and improve customer service metrics, including on-time delivery, defect rates, and Net Promoter Score.

Collaborate with the Regional Vice President to ensure resources are aligned with current and emerging customer needs.

Drive safety culture, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the region.

Provide training and development for operations and account management staff, building strong leadership and operational capabilities.

Implement and sustain company initiatives such as training programs, branch reviews, safety standards, and operational excellence projects.

Partner with corporate functions including Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, Technology Operations, and Sales to support commercial and operational goals.

Lead regional installation and service capabilities to grow both product and service revenue streams.

Assist with business continuity needs, including acting as Branch or Area Operations Manager when required for vacation coverage, start-ups, or training.

Participate in regional and corporate projects such as branch moves, greenfield start-ups, and acquisition integrations.

Plan and manage regional budgets, capital expenditures, and resources to support commercial growth and operational excellence.

Identify and implement solutions that improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction at the regional and branch level.

Other operational duties and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Compensation & Structure

This is a full-time senior leadership position with a base salary of 120,000 to 150,000 dollars plus annual performance bonuses.

Frequent overnight travel required throughout the assigned region, with flexibility for overtime and occasional weekend work.

Ideally, candidates will be based in or near Arizona, Colorado, Kansas City, or Washington to provide effective regional coverage.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Operations, Business, or a related field. Equivalent job-specific experience may be considered.

Five to ten or more years of experience in industrial distribution, fabrication, or manufacturing leadership.

Strong organizational and prioritization skills with high attention to detail.

Proven ability to drive operational efficiency, profitability, and service excellence.

Responsive and respectful approach to customer needs with sound business acumen.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely in industrial environments.

Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role includes time in the office, shop, and customer sites. You may lift and move up to 50 pounds, operate equipment or tools for minor maintenance, and be on your feet, bending, or kneeling for extended periods. The work environment can include exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment with moderate to loud noise levels.

Position Type & Schedule

This is a full-time position with standard hours Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexibility for overtime, overnight travel, and occasional weekend work is required to support regional operations.
