This is a newly shaped Safety Advisor opportunity, sitting within a tight-knit People and Risk team and reporting to a senior leader. You will be the go-to safety partner for the business across NSW, with scope to influence national safety strategy over time.
The role is broad. You will move between hands-on advisory work, framework design, leader coaching, and risk reporting up to executive level. It suits someone who enjoys a corporate environment, works independently, and wants to genuinely shape how safety is delivered in a values-driven business.

- Maintain and continuously improve the WHS management system, aligned to ISO 45001 principles
- Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections and internal audits
- Build the annual safety plan and report against it monthly
- Partner with HR on injury management, workers compensation and return to work
- Run safety inductions, toolbox talks and targeted training programmes
- Track and report on leading and lagging indicators to the executive team
- Stay across legislative change and embed practical updates into policy and process
- Drive a positive, mature safety culture across head office and field-based teams
What you will bring
- Five or more years in a WHS or Safety Advisor role within a corporate, professional services or financial services environment
- Diploma in WHS as a minimum, tertiary qualifications in OHS, Health Sciences or related field strongly preferred
- Solid working knowledge of the NSW WHS Act and Regulation
- ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training
- Experience with WHS management systems aligned to ISO 45001 or AS 4801
- Confident stakeholder engagement at all levels, including executive
- Clear, calm communication style, and a hands-on, practical approach
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and shaping your own priorities
What is on offer
- Competitive salary package, with bonus structure
- Hybrid working, with flexibility on home and office balance
- Sydney CBD office, modern fit-out, close to public transport
- Genuine senior leadership access and visibility
- Strong professional development and study support
- A team that values quality work over noise
