Senior Hydraulic Modelling Engineer (RPEQ)
This role is ideal for an experienced RPEQ-qualified engineer seeking a combination of technical leadership, project delivery and client engagement.
A key focus of the position is the review, verification and sign-off of hydraulic and hydrological studies, while also supporting project delivery across a diverse range of flood modelling and water resources projects.
The position can be based in Townsville, Brisbane or elsewhere in Queensland, with flexible working arrangements available.

This role is ideal for an experienced RPEQ-qualified engineer seeking a combination of technical leadership, project delivery and client engagement.
A key focus of the position is the review, verification and sign-off of hydraulic and hydrological studies, while also supporting project delivery across a diverse range of flood modelling and water resources projects.
The position can be based in Townsville, Brisbane or elsewhere in Queensland, with flexible working arrangements available.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and review hydraulic and hydrological modelling projects.
- Provide technical oversight and RPEQ sign-off of engineering deliverables.
- Deliver flood risk assessments, hydrological studies and surface water investigations.
- Undertake quality assurance reviews of hydraulic models and technical reports.
- Manage client relationships and support business development activities.
- Mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
About You
- Degree qualified in Civil, Environmental or Water Resources Engineering.
- RPEQ qualification is essential.
- Strong experience in hydraulic modelling, hydrology or water resources engineering.
- Proficient with TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, RORB and related modelling software.
- Strong understanding of Australian Rainfall and Runoff (ARR).
- Experience reviewing technical deliverables and providing engineering certification.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- Townsville, Brisbane or regional Queensland location options.
