Position

An opportunity exists for a Senior Project Engineer to join a growing team delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Queensland.

This role will see you take ownership of project delivery, coordinating construction activities to ensure outcomes are achieved across safety, quality, programme, and budget.

A key differentiator in this role is a strong focus on work-life balance — no built-in Saturday work, with overtime paid where additional hours are required.


Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of project delivery across civil and utility infrastructure works
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with safety, quality, budget, and programme requirements
• Provide planning, technical advice, and engineering support across project teams
• Manage contractual requirements including claims, variations, and dispute resolution
• Attend project meetings and provide clear communication with clients and stakeholders
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation

About you 

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
• Demonstrated experience delivering civil infrastructure projects, ideally within water and wastewater
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice
• Experience managing contracts, claims, and project commercial aspects
• Proven ability to coordinate site teams and deliver projects end-to-end
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Organised and proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
