Cloud & Platform Engineer (Level 3)

We're partnering with a well-established New Zealand organisation seeking an experienced Cloud & Platform Engineer to take ownership of its Microsoft cloud environment.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on Microsoft 365, Intune, endpoint management, automation, and platform optimisation. You'll play a key role in maintaining a secure, modern workplace while driving continuous improvement across cloud platforms.

About the role You'll be responsible for:

• Engineering and optimising Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams
• Managing Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint environments
• Designing PowerShell automation to improve operational efficiency
• Leading Level 3 technical support, root cause analysis and platform improvements
• Implementing Conditional Access, endpoint compliance and security best practices
• Delivering platform upgrades, patching and change initiatives
• Working closely with internal stakeholders and technology partners to enhance the environment

What we're looking for You'll bring:

• 5+ years' experience in cloud or platform engineering
• Strong Microsoft 365 and Intune administration experience
• Expertise across Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access and endpoint management
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills
• Experience supporting secure, cloud-first environments
• A proactive approach with excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills
