Finance Business Partner

We are seeking a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join a well-established New Zealand manufacturing business. Reporting directly to the Business Unit Manager, you'll be the trusted finance lead for the business, partnering closely with operational leaders to provide insight, challenge thinking, and support strategic decision-making.

This is a highly visible role where you'll have ownership of the P&L, lead financial planning and reporting activities, and identify opportunities to improve performance, processes, and systems. You'll be supported by a lean, collaborative team that values curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the monthly reporting cycle, budgeting, forecasting and P&L performance
• Partner closely with Business Unit Managers and operational leaders to provide commercial insight and drive business performance
• Analyse product costing, margins and business results to identify opportunities for improvement
• Monitor working capital, cashflow and inventory performance
• Champion process and systems improvements, including supporting the ongoing use and enhancement of NetSuite
• Lead, support and contribute to business improvement projects and strategic initiatives

Key Requirements

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualified with proven commercial finance experience
• Experience owning financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to partner and influence across the business
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously and take ownership
• Curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and finding better ways of doing things
• Strong systems aptitude; NetSuite experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• Manufacturing experience preferred, however attitude, fit and willingness to learn are of greater importance
• Someone who can hit the ground running while becoming a valued member of a collaborative, high-performing team
