This organisation is a leading environmental consultancy company with over 20 years' experience. With a reputation for practical solutions and trusted advice, they are a high-performing, growing business looking for an organised and proactive Finance & Administration Coordinator to join their team.

This is a varied, hands-on role at the centre of the business. Reporting to the Director, you will manage day-to-day finance and administration while supporting payroll, HR, and executive operations. Working closely with leadership and the Consultancy team, you will help ensure the business runs smoothly and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, taking ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your contribution makes a real difference.

Your days will involve, but not limited to:
  • Manage accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and monthly progress claims
  • Process end-to-end payroll, and payroll administration
  • Coordinate HR administration, including onboarding, recruitment support, employee records, training, and Health & Safety documentation
  • Provide executive support to the Director
  • Oversee office administration
You will bring:
  • Proven experience in finance administration, including AP, AR, reconciliations, and payroll
  • Excellent initiative, organisation, attention to detail, and communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and comfortable working independently
  • Experience supporting a small, privately owned business
This is more than an administration role. You will work closely with the Director, gain genuine insight into how the business operates, and play an important part in supporting a company that is making a positive impact on New Zealand’s environment.
