Financial Accountant

Quinn Allan is partnering with a well-established and growing property and corporate services organisation to appoint a Financial Accountant to its Brisbane-based finance team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will play a key part in supporting the corporate finance function, with responsibility across financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, accounts payable, payroll, treasury, and tax compliance. The position offers broad exposure across multiple entities and the opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives within a collaborative finance team.


Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting processes across multiple entities.
• Prepare financial reports, variance analysis, management commentary and performance insights.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including cost analysis and financial modelling.
• Manage accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, reconciliations and payment runs.
• Process and reconcile payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, cash flow reporting and treasury-related activities.
• Assist with BAS, payroll tax, FBT and other compliance obligations.
• Support annual audit requirements, statutory reporting and financial statement preparation.

About You

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
• 2+ years' experience in financial accounting, corporate accounting or a similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Exposure to accounts payable, payroll, tax compliance and treasury functions.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
• Proactive, organised and motivated to identify and implement process improvements.
