Junior Service Engineer | Melbourne VIC

CELOTTI WORKFORCE is currently seeking a Junior Service Engineer for our client, based in Melbourne, VIC.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global leader in airport technology, working across major airports and defence facilities throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. The role offers extensive training, career development opportunities, and exposure to cutting-edge aviation systems.

This role will suit a hands-on Junior Service Engineer, Electrical Technician, Industrial Electrician, Service Technician, or Electrical Engineering Graduate with strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to travel extensively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, commission, test and maintain airport lighting, control and docking systems
• Perform fault finding, diagnostics and repairs on electrical and electronic equipment
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities
• Provide technical support to clients and internal stakeholders
• Assist with site surveys, commissioning activities and warranty investigations
• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Participate in product and technical training programs
• Travel regularly to airports, defence sites and customer facilities across Australia and internationally

Our Ideal Candidate:

• 1-2 years' experience in a service, maintenance, electrical or technical role
• Certificate III in Electrotechnology, Electrical Licence or related qualification highly regarded
• Tertiary studies in Electrical Engineering advantageous
• Experience with troubleshooting electrical or electronic systems
• Exposure to PLCs, automation, networking or communications systems is desirable
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Permanent Australian work rights
• Ability to obtain and maintain aviation security clearances, police checks and DAMP requirements
• Current driver's licence

Travel Requirements:
This role involves significant travel and applicants must be comfortable travelling throughout Australia and overseas. During peak periods, travel may account for up to 75% of working time. Most travel occurs Monday to Friday, allowing employees to be home on weekends where possible.
