Facilities Manager

MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a leading global property and facilities management organisation to recruit an experienced Facilities Manager for a 5-week temporary contract commencing in September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to support a premium corporate office fit-out in Melbourne’s CBD, assisting with the final stages of workplace readiness and ensuring the site is operational, safe and ready for employees.

This role would suit a Facilities Manager who enjoys being hands-on, coordinating multiple stakeholders and making sure every detail is in place for a successful workplace launch.

The Role
Reporting into the Workplace team, you will support the facilities and workplace operations throughout the office fit-out and readiness period, including:

• Supporting the delivery and coordination of the corporate office fit-out
• Coordinating contractors, suppliers and service providers across the site
• Coordinating facilities requirements across meeting rooms, reception, breakout and shared workplace areas
• Assisting with building services, maintenance and facilities-related requirements
• Liaising with internal stakeholders, contractors, building management and service providers
• Identifying and resolving facilities issues quickly and proactively
• Supporting the Workplace team with general facilities coordination and administration
• Ensuring the new workplace is presented, functional and ready for employees

About You
To be successful, you'll be an experienced Facilities Manager or Facilities Coordinator with strong exposure to corporate workplace or retail environments, office fit-outs or workplace projects.
You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in Facilities Management, Workplace Management or Facilities Coordination
• Experience supporting office fit-outs, relocations, refurbishments or new workplace projects
• Strong contractor and supplier management experience
• Strong organisational skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously
• A proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused approach
