Welder Machinist

The Role
The primary focus of the role will be TIG welding and fabrication, alongside mechanical technician and assembly work. The role will suit someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in producing high-quality work rather than repetitive production welding.
Duties will include:

• TIG welding and precision fabrication
• Construction and assembly of specialist equipment
• Various manual fabrication tasks
• Mechanical fitting and assembly
• Working from engineering drawings
• Supporting prototype builds and equipment modifications
• Supporting Engineering and Machining teams as required
• Machining where capable
• Assisting with testing and commissioning of equipment
• Providing practical input and feedback during builds and modifications

Requirements

• Strong TIG welding capability is essential
• Trade background in fabrication, welding, fitting or a related mechanical discipline
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Machining experience would be highly regarded but is not essential
