Trust Tairāwhiti is a regional development trust. Their strategic focus is to drive the economic development, community initiatives and investment strategies that support the wellbeing of people and place for Te Tairāwhiti.
Reporting to the GM of Economic Development, this role will spearhead the analysis, development and progression of strategic investment opportunities. Your oversight will help ensure alignment of capital, stakeholders, and delivery activity to achieve regional outcomes aligned with the Trust’s strategic plan. This is an influential position where you will be analysing and interrogating complex investment proposals, undertaking detailed financial analysis, and providing strategic advice to the Senior Leadship Team on opportunities, risks and trade-offs. You will collaborate with regional partners to progress infrastructure projects that will support an innovative, diverse, resilient and regenerative economy, while also contributing to the Trust’s mahi in Māori economic development.
Building and maintaining strong relationships will be a key part of your success. You’ll engage with the region’s commercial and economic influencers including iwi, business leaders, government agencies, Council and industry groups.
To be considered, you will need to be commercially astute, an expert in financial modelling and forecasting, and have the ability to analyse business cases and investment proposals with scrutiny. You may come from a banking, investment, consulting or financial analyst background and be ready for that next step up in your career. You will be known for your high capability in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, and have the ability to connect and network across the key touch points in Tairāwhiti. Relatability to the Tairāwhiti region and its economic landscape will be key in your success here.
