If you have experience in supply and demand planning, understand key ERP and supply planning principles, and enjoy the analysis and discipline that underpin effective planning, we'd love to hear from you. Whether you're an emerging supply chain professional with three to four years' experience ready for the next step in your career, or an experienced planner looking for a role where your expertise is truly valued, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
We genuinely enjoy partnering with this client and have seen many people thrive, grow, and build rewarding careers within the business over the years. They are a successful, growth-focused manufacturer and exporter based in Hawke's Bay, where strong supply chain planning plays a critical role in their ongoing success.
Reporting to a highly capable and forward-thinking S&OP Planning Manager, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the planning function. As supply planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the right products are available at the right time while balancing inventory, production, and cost considerations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include forecasting demand, developing production plans, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers to secure ingredients and packaging. You'll work closely with manufacturing, procurement, warehousing, and 3PL partners to ensure products are stored, transported, and distributed efficiently. In time, you'll become a key link between production inputs and outputs, helping to shape planning decisions across both the short and long-term horizon.
You may hold a qualification in supply chain management, although practical experience and a sound understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning processes are equally important. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. A naturally curious mindset, strong problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach will see you succeed in this role. You'll also bring excellent administration and Excel skills, along with the confidence to learn new systems quickly. In return, you'll be joining a supportive and high-performing team that genuinely values the contribution of its people. If you have the required expertise, please apply through this portal or telephone Populous People on 06 875 8446 for a confidential discussion to learn more.
