The opportunity A newly created role, you will be joining a dynamic cleantech software team focused on designing and building the best solutions for their global users. The team is growing significantly and this leadership role has been created for someone to drive and deliver strategic software products and initiatives. Collaborating with the product, design & infrastructure teams to shape new and existing products with a strategic and long-term view, you will: Contribute to their products’ technical direction by providing guidance, leadership and direction to the business. Shape and oversee the technical architecture of products. Deliver technical projects and product releases to scope, budget and schedule. Share, propose and showcase solutions to key stakeholders. Ensure the optimal performance, stability and quality of their applications and services. Contribute to leading, coaching, developing and managing the software team with an emphasis on Develop capabilities in strategic alignment and technical delivery, process optimisation and leadership. About you You are passionate about renewable energy and making an impact to mitigate climate change. Your natural ability to build rapport, connect with people and find solutions to problems drives you every day, and you thrive on working with others who want to be part of the renewable energy revolution. In addition you will have: Significant experience working in technical software roles with extensive recent experience in senior software roles with people management experience. Experience in proactively leveraging technology to solve user challenges and operational challenges. Track record of success in delivering technical projects and product releases in agile, dynamic environments. Strong skills in software engineering, software architecture & systems architecture. Desirable technology skills: Python, Django, MySQL, React, AWS (Lambda, CloudFormation, RDS),Serverless, 3D. Experience with cloud architecture and tools.
