Amplifi Talent are partnering with an accountancy and advisory firm to appoint an Audit Manager to join its Belfast team.
This is an opportunity for an experienced audit professional to lead engagements across a range of clients and sectors, combining technical oversight with client relationship management and team development.
The successful candidate will manage audit planning and delivery, review the work of colleagues and contribute to wider advisory projects and improvements within the audit function.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
- Lead audit engagements across a varied client portfolio
- Plan assignments, identify key risks and ensure compliance with auditing standards
- Review audit files, financial statements and supporting documentation
- Supervise, train and review the work of audit staff
- Act as a key client contact throughout the audit process
- Support workflow planning, team organisation and continuous improvement
- Contribute to internal controls reviews, due diligence and technical accounting projects
The role would suit somebody who enjoys taking ownership of audit delivery while building strong client relationships and developing the capability of their team.
The Person
Key skills and experience are likely to include:
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- At least five years’ post-qualification audit experience within accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting frameworks, including FRS 102
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using MyWorkPapers or similar audit software
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
- The ability to manage deadlines, prioritise workloads and work effectively within a team
- Knowledge of IFRS would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will bring sound technical judgement and a clear, organised approach to managing engagements.
