Amplifi Talent are partnering with an accountancy and advisory firm to appoint a Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager to join its Belfast team.
This is an opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a varied role combining year-end accounts, client relationships and the development of junior colleagues.
The successful candidate will also have involvement in project work, including client transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and raising finance, while supporting the organisation of team workloads.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:·
- Prepare and supervise year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Prepare associated tax computations and returns, with prior tax experience not mandatory
- Contribute to projects involving client transactions, M&A and raising finance
- Train, oversee and mentor junior team members
- Assist management with organising and prioritising team workflow
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients
The appointment offers scope to combine hands-on technical delivery with team responsibility, with the level of appointment reflecting relevant experience.
The Person
Key skills and experience are likely to include:
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- At least one year’s post-qualification experience in accountancy practice for the Senior Accountant role
- At least two years’ post-qualification experience in accountancy practice for the Assistant Manager role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Xero, QuickBooks or similar cloud accounting software
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and WordPrevious audit experience would be advantageous.
The role would suit somebody who enjoys varied client work and supporting the development of colleagues.

- accounts and business services teams

- client accounting and advisory teams
