We’re partnering with a well-regarded not-for-profit organisation to find an experienced Payroll Officer who’s ready to step into a busy, hands-on role and make an immediate impact.
This is an initial 3–6 month temporary opportunity, with a strong likelihood of transitioning into a permanent, senior-officer position.
About the Role
You’ll take ownership of end-to-end payroll for approximately 170 employees, working within a complex award environment and collaborating closely with a supportive People & Culture team.

About the Role
You’ll take ownership of end-to-end payroll for approximately 170 employees, working within a complex award environment and collaborating closely with a supportive People & Culture team.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end payroll processing (fortnightly)
- Managing Single Touch Payroll (STP) and superannuation
- Award and EA interpretation
- Ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
- Partnering with HR and internal stakeholders
You’re a confident payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in getting the detail right.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience across end-to-end payroll
- Strong understanding of award and EA interpretation
- Experience with STP and superannuation processing
- Exposure to not-for-profit or health sector payroll (highly regarded)
- Experience with ELMO (nice to have)
- A proactive, reliable approach with strong communication skills
- Hold or willing to obtain an NPC & WWCC
- Genuine temp-to-perm opportunity with future growth into a senior role
