A well-established construction and building company based in North Sydney is looking for an experienced internal recruiter to join the team on an initial 3-month contract.
This is a standalone, hands-on role. You will own end-to-end recruitment across corporate and site-based positions, work directly with hiring managers, and bring structure and consistency to how assessments are made and decisions are reached.
The role is available to temp-to-perm candidates who are open to converting to a permanent position, as well as those seeking a straight contract engagement.

Day in the Life
You will work closely with the People and Performance team and the wider business. On a typical week, you will:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for a mix of construction, corporate, and support roles
- Brief and partner with hiring managers to build structured, consistent assessment processes
- Source and engage candidates across job boards, LinkedIn, and direct channels
- Screen and shortlist, coordinate interviews, and manage offers to acceptance
- Manage the ATS and keep candidate records accurate and current
- Provide pipeline updates and market insights to the business
- Champion a positive candidate experience throughout each process
What You Will Bring
- A minimum of 5 years in internal recruitment
- Proven ability to work as a standalone recruiter, managing multiple requisitions simultaneously
- Strong stakeholder management: you know how to partner with and push back on hiring managers when required
- Structured approach to assessment and interviewing, not gut-feel driven
- Experience running efficient end-to-end recruitment processes with demonstrable time-to-fill outcomes
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift
- ATS proficiency and an organised approach to candidate management
