HSE Advisor – Logistics & Transport (Sydney)


Package: $110,000 – $130,000 + super (DOE)

Location: Sydney, NSW (multi-site)


We’re partnering with a national logistics provider experiencing strong growth and operational change. As the HSE Advisor, you’ll play a hands-on role across high-tempo transport & logistics operations, lifting safety performance, strengthening compliance, and supporting frontline leaders across multi-site activities in Sydney.


What you’ll do


  • Drive a proactive safety culture across operations, engaging leaders, drivers and warehouse teams.
  • Lead incident reporting, investigations and close-outs; maintain accurate safety data and dashboards.
  • Maintain and improve procedures & safe work instructions (SWIs); support training and competence.
  • Support and audit NHVR Chain of Responsibility requirements (fatigue, mass/dimension, loading, maintenance).
  • Contribute to Heavy Vehicle Accreditation activities and compliance reviews.
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation and motor vehicle claims processes in line with policy and timeframes.
  • Partner with site and state leaders on risk management, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.


What you’ll bring


  • 3 - 5+ years in transport/logistics safety (or similar high-risk, fast-paced environments).
  • Practical knowledge of NHVR/CoR, driver fatigue, and heavy vehicle operations.

  • Proven incident investigation skills with timely close-out of actions (target 7 days).
  • Experience with workers’ compensation and return-to-work coordination.
  • Confident communicator who can influence and coach
  • Strength in procedures/SWIs, auditing, and safety reporting.
