About the Role
As a PMO Assurance Officer, you will support the delivery of assurance activities across a portfolio of complex programs and projects. Working within a dynamic Program Management Office, you will help assess, monitor and report on project performance, risks and outcomes to ensure intended benefits and value are achieved.
You will contribute to a range of assurance functions including risk assurance, financial assurance, delivery health reviews, benefits assurance, and test and evaluation activities. The role requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail and the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders to gather, assess and report on information that supports informed decision-making.

The Successful Candidate
You are an experienced PMO, governance or assurance professional with a strong understanding of project and program delivery within complex environments. You enjoy working across multiple stakeholders, can analyse information objectively and produce clear, evidence-based reporting and recommendations.

Location: The role can be performed from Canberra ACT, Brisbane QLD or Melbourne VIC.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus 2x 12 month extensions

Security Requirements: Candidates must hold an active or reactivatable Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Security Clearance on submission. Our client is not looking to upgrade an existing clearance for this position. An OSA (Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.

- Supporting portfolio assurance activities across multiple projects and programs
- Assisting with capability testing, readiness assessments and evaluation activities
- Monitoring project risks, mitigation activities and assurance actions
- Contributing to financial assurance and portfolio performance reporting
- Analysing complex information and preparing reports for governance forums and senior stakeholders
- Supporting delivery health reviews and benefits realisation activities
- Applying established assurance frameworks, policies and governance processes
- This role is based onsite with flexibility subject to operational requirements.
The Successful Candidate
You are an experienced PMO, governance or assurance professional with a strong understanding of project and program delivery within complex environments. You enjoy working across multiple stakeholders, can analyse information objectively and produce clear, evidence-based reporting and recommendations.
You will demonstrate:
- Experience supporting project, program or portfolio assurance functions
- Strong knowledge of governance, risk management and assurance frameworks
- Experience analysing delivery performance and contributing to executive reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to gather, synthesise and present complex information to diverse stakeholders
- Experience supporting quality assurance, compliance, testing or evaluation activities
- A proactive and collaborative approach with excellent organisational skills
