The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Foreman to join the delivery team on a landmark $50M+ adaptive re-use co-living development in central Sydney.
The project will transform an existing 1920's warehouse into a contemporary co-living development, creating a technically interesting build that combines significant existing-building works with the delivery of modern residential accommodation and communal spaces.
Working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team, you will take responsibility for day-to-day construction activities and help drive the project through key stages of delivery.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Foreman who enjoys complex construction and refurbishment rather than repetitive new-build projects.

The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating subcontractors, trades and daily construction activities
- Taking ownership of designated areas and trade packages
- Driving short-term programming, sequencing and key construction milestones
- Coordinating works within and around the existing building structure
- Reviewing drawings and identifying potential coordination and buildability issues
- Working closely with consultants, subcontractors and the project team to resolve site issues
- Monitoring workmanship and maintaining high standards of quality
- Managing inspections, QA documentation and defect rectification
- Coordinating materials, deliveries and site logistics within a constrained inner-city environment
- Maintaining high standards of WHS and site presentation
- Supporting the Site Manager in keeping the project on program
- Driving works through completion, commissioning and handover
- Proven experience as a Foreman within the Sydney construction market
- Strong background in commercial, residential or mixed-use construction
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and subcontractor coordination
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong QA focus with excellent attention to detail
- Confident coordinating multiple subcontractors and work fronts
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Trade background, ideally carpentry, highly regarded
- A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a fast-moving project team
- Up to $190,000 + Super depending on experience
