Our client is a well-established contractor with a strong presence across the WA resources and civil construction sector. With ongoing work and a long-term project secured, they are looking to add an experienced HSE Advisor to the existing site team.
This is a FIFO position working on a 2:1 roster, supporting a long-term civil construction project. The initial contract will be 4 - 6 months, with the potential for extension and ongoing work for the right person.
You will be working closely with the Site Management team, Supervisors, subcontractors and wider workforce, providing hands-on HSE support across the project and ensuring a high standard of safety, compliance and risk management is maintained.

About You:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working on Rio Tinto sites
- Fully compliant with current Rio Tinto training requirements
- Previous HSE Advisor experience within civil construction
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and safety systems
- Hands-on approach and comfortable working in a site-based environment
- Confident communicating with workers, supervisors, subcontractors and management
- Strong understanding of JHAs, SWMS, risk assessments and incident management
- Able to work autonomously while also being part of a wider site team
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Available to work a 2:1 FIFO roster
- Looking for a long-term opportunity with a reputable contractor
- Providing day-to-day HSE support across civil construction activities
- Working closely with Site Management and Supervisors to ensure safe delivery of works
- Conducting regular site inspections, audits and safety observations
- Supporting the development and review of JHAs, SWMS and risk assessments
- Identifying hazards and working with site teams to implement effective controls
- Supporting incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions through to close-out
- Conducting and supporting pre-starts, toolbox meetings and safety communications
- Monitoring compliance with HSE systems, procedures and client requirements
- Maintaining HSE documentation, records and reporting
- Supporting site inductions and onboarding requirements
- Providing practical safety advice, coaching and guidance to workers and supervisors
- Promoting a positive and proactive safety culture across the project
- Ensuring project activities are completed in line with required HSE standards and procedures
