Technical Sales - Hydraulic Hose

The Opportunity

My client is a well-established supplier of hydraulic & industrial hoes and fittings, servicing customers across a broad range of industries throughout Australia. Renowned for technical expertise, premium products, and outstanding customer service, they have built a strong reputation as a trusted partner to manufacturers, OEMs, and industrial businesses.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Territory Sales Representative to take over an established territory across Southeast Queensland. This role offers the opportunity to manage an existing customer base while identifying new business opportunities and further growing market share.

Covering Brisbane, Toowoomba and surrounding regions, this position is ideal for a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys working autonomously, solving customer challenges, and delivering technical hydraulic solutions.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing an established portfolio of customers while developing new business opportunities throughout your territory. Working closely with manufacturers, OEMs, and industrial customers, you'll provide technical advice on hydraulic hoses, hose assemblies, fittings, fluid transfer products, and related industrial solutions, ensuring customers receive the right products and support for their applications.

The territory covers Brisbane Metropolitan and Toowoomba, with occasional travel to regional accounts as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established customer base across Southeast Queensland.
• Develop new business opportunities within manufacturing, OEM, and industrial markets.
• Promote hydraulic hoses, hose fittings, fluid transfer products, and related industrial solutions.
• Provide technical advice and product recommendations based on customer applications.
• Prepare quotations and manage opportunities through to successful completion.
• Build long-term customer relationships through regular site visits and a consultative sales approach.
• Maintain accurate customer records using the company's integrated CRM and ERP systems.

What We're Looking For

• Previous external sales experience within the hydraulic hose, hose fittings, fluid power, industrial, mechanical, or engineering industries.
• Experience selling into manufacturers, OEMs, or industrial customers.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or trade background highly regarded 
• Open to Automotive mechanics, or spare parts backgrounds, seeking a move into an industrial sales role, with a leading manufacturer. A great platform to establish a career in the industry 
• Mechanical aptitude
• Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently.
• Comfortable with occasional regional travel.
