The Opportunity
My client, a growing provider of laboratory technology and automated equipment solutions, is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to support their customer base across Sydney.
This is a customer-facing field service position with the majority of work across metropolitan Sydney, supporting equipment within hospital and laboratory environments.
The successful candidate will independently manage service calls, customer relationships and territory priorities while receiving technical support from the wider team and access to spare parts and resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, service and maintain equipment across hospital and laboratory sites
- Diagnose technical faults and complete repairs independently
- Manage service calls, customer follow-ups and daily territory priorities
- Support equipment installations and commissioning activities
- Coordinate spare parts and equipment requirements
- Provide clear technical advice and support to customers
- Maintain accurate communication with customers and the wider technical team
- Build strong relationships with customers across the Sydney territory
- Attend occasional regional customer sites as required
- Support interstate installations when required
About You
- Strong field service experience across robotics, automation, industrial instrumentation or related technical equipment
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical equipment faults
- Engineering qualification preferred, although substantial relevant technical experience will also be considered
- Comfortable working independently and managing a territory without daily supervision
- Strong organisation and ability to prioritise multiple service requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Confident working directly with customers in hospital, laboratory or other technical environments
- Willingness to undertake occasional regional and interstate travel
- Willingness to complete product training, which may include overseas training in Singapore
