Management Accountant

Melbourne | Food & Beverage Manufacturing


Join a global leader in food and beverage ingredients manufacturing and play a key role in driving financial performance across a dynamic manufacturing operation.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this hands-on Management Accountant position offers the opportunity to partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, R&D and Commercial teams to provide meaningful financial insights that support business growth and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage product costing, standard costs and Bills of Materials (BOMs)

• Analyse manufacturing variances and product profitability

• Prepare monthly management reports, KPI analysis and performance commentary

• Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning activities

• Partner with operational teams to improve productivity, profitability and efficiency

• Assist with capital investment evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintain strong inventory controls and support audit and compliance requirements

• Oversee the Accounts Payable function, including supplier payments, reconciliations and procure-to-pay controls


About You

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or Commerce

• CPA or CA qualified, or currently working towards qualification

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Management Accounting, Cost Accounting or Manufacturing Finance

• Background within FMCG, food, beverage or manufacturing environments

• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, budgeting and forecasting

• Advanced analytical and business partnering skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or MYOB Acumatica will be highly regarded
