THE COMPANY:

Our client is a leading supplier of mobility, rehabilitation and healthcare equipment, supporting customers across hospitals, care homes, healthcare facilities and private residences throughout Ireland.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Technical Assembly & Quality Lead to support the ongoing development of their mobility division and ensure the highest standards of assembly, quality and customer satisfaction.

THE ROLE:

This newly created role will be responsible for overseeing assembly quality, driving process improvements and supporting the development of assembly personnel within the mobility team.

Working closely with warehouse and operational teams, you'll act as the technical specialist for mobility products, ensuring equipment is assembled correctly, quality standards are maintained and processes continue to evolve as the business grows.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing quality control across all mobility equipment assembly activities
  • Conducting final inspections of assembled equipment prior to customer delivery
  • Supporting and coaching assembly personnel to maintain high standards
  • Developing and maintaining assembly procedures and SOPs
  • Creating training materials and supporting staff development initiatives
  • Assessing assembly quality and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Driving continuous improvement projects across assembly and warehouse operations
  • Supporting the streamlining of processes, documentation and workflows
  • Acting as the technical point of contact for product assembly queries
  • Working with products including wheelchairs, standing frames, shower aids and other mobility equipment
  • Ensuring all products are assembled safely, accurately and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines

THE PERSON:

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within technical assembly, mechanical service, manufacturing, engineering support, product testing, quality control or workshop environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of how equipment and machinery functions
  • Experience within technical assembly, maintenance, service or workshop environments
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to identify process improvements and implement best practices
  • Experience training, mentoring or coaching others would be advantageous
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • A hands-on and proactive approach to problem solving
  • Mobility, healthcare equipment or medical device experience would be advantageous but is not essential

THE PACKAGE:

  • Base Salary: €43,000

WORKING HOURS:

  • Monday to Friday
