Our client is seeking an experienced Sr Applications Developer to join their technology team. This role is responsible for leading the development, enhancement, and support of enterprise applications that support critical business operations. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to deliver modern application solutions, drive digital transformation initiatives, and leverage emerging technologies including AI-enabled development practices.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications and business systems.
  • Gather and analyze user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Manage application development projects from design through implementation.
  • Support and troubleshoot system issues in collaboration with infrastructure and network teams.
  • Drive system modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve business processes.
  • Manage external vendors and outsourced application solutions.
  • Ensure system performance, security, and reliability.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of experience in application development and support.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Java, J2EE / Jakarta EE
    • Spring Framework / Spring Boot
    • React.js
    • Node.js
    • RESTful API development
    • JavaScript ecosystem technologies
    • Git version control
  • Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL databases.
  • Familiarity with container technologies and modern development practices.
  • Experience in integrating applications with Azure AD, SSO, and MFA is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and coding assistants is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in both English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a big plus.
