A rare high-impact finance role has opened up within the Planning & Performance function of a well-known NZX/ASX-listed financial services group. With a strong emphasis on performance reporting, you'll be the subject matter expert on the business's financial results; owning the analysis, interpretation and communication of performance across lending portfolios, business units and channels.
This is a standout role for a finance leader who wants to do more than report the numbers, someone who can shape the story behind them and influence the decisions that matter.
The business is growing and the finance function has real influence. Reporting here means something, it drives decisions at the highest levels. We need someone who leads with insight, not just outputs.
You will be:
Performance Reporting (primary focus)
Lead analysis of financial results, identifying key trends, drivers and risks requiring management attention. Serve as the go-to expert on results across the Group, preparing and reviewing internal and external reporting packs, including Board materials, flash reports and results announcements.
Business Partnering
Partner directly with business unit leads to monitor performance against budgets and return on capital targets. Influence senior stakeholders and contribute to initiatives designed to meet financial targets modelling projected outcomes and reporting on actuals.
Forecasting & Planning
Support the delivery of robust annual plans, budgets and periodic forecasts. Ensure stakeholder engagement, model granularity and governance requirements are met throughout the planning cycle, and work with the business to ensure forecast inputs reflect current commercial activity and pricing intentions.
Leadership & Culture
Mentor and develop Senior Analysts and Analysts within the team. Contribute to the Finance vision and champion a collaborative, high-performance culture.
What we're looking for:
You'll be joining a progressive, digitally focused organisation that genuinely invests in its people with performance reporting that carries weight at Board level, meaningful business partnering relationships, and the opportunity to shape financial outcomes across the Group. Roles like this don't come up often; this team is known for its exceptional culture and long tenures to match.
