Key Responsibilities
- Analyse underwriting trends, data, processes and portfolio performance
- Support the enhancement of underwriting frameworks, guidelines and decision-making strategies
- Partner with underwriting, product, operations and distribution teams to improve customer and business outcomes
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimise underwriting efficiency and risk management
- Assist with underwriting governance, quality assurance and compliance initiatives
- Contribute to automation and AI-driven underwriting improvements
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders and external partners, including reinsurers where required
- Support continuous improvement and strategic projects across the underwriting function
- Previous experience within Life Insurance Underwriting is essential
- Strong understanding of life, TPD, trauma and income protection products
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercially minded with strong problem-solving capability
- Experience working on process improvement, underwriting optimisation or operational projects will be highly regarded
