Community Engagement Manager

Salary: $100k-$110k base plus super Hours: Full time – wfh with 1 day per fortnight in the office Duration: 6 month maternity contract Why join this organisation? You’ll be joining a small, dedicated, diverse, passionate, friendly, and dynamic team. They have a remote first working policy and only require you to attend the office 1 day per fortnight to collaborate in person with your team and other teams that are rostered on the same day. The opportunity The Community Engagement Manager leads and drives engagement between the community and the various recycling scheme bodies. It is responsible for managing the development, implementation and evaluation of key projects to drive community engagement and participation in the schemes as well as fostering positive relationships with key industry stakeholders to achieve scheme outcomes and support the delivery of the company’s corporate strategy and objectives. Your role will include: Managing the development, implementation and evaluation of best practice communication and engagement strategies to engage a range of different communities and key stakeholders Coordinate the development of a range of appropriate communication tools and materials tailored to different communities and audiences. This may include web content, flyers, newsletters, videos, social media content, resources and other content. Identify, build and manage sustainable and strategic partnerships with relevant external organisations that contribute to the achievement of scheme and organisational objectives. Manage community engagement database, supporting the Senior Communications Manager to identify and develop positive community engagement stories. Coordinate a program of community outreach activities in NSW and ACT such as community forums and events, workshops, information sessions, and other engagement activities Maintain effective and engaged relationships with key stakeholders including local councils, industry associations, and other key community stakeholders. About you You thrive in a fast-paced and action-oriented culture and are excited about achieving real behaviour change that makes a positive impact on our environment. You will use your expert ability to develop source and content and adapt and reformat assets for publishing across various target channels, coupled with managing community engagement data and analytics for reporting progress to support continuous improvement efforts. In addition, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in marketing / communication or demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience and training. Demonstrated exceptional stakeholder management skills Content development experience Passion for working with different communities and developing innovative and meaningful activities that deliver real impact. High level communication and relationship building skills which will allow you to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders including business and community leaders, executives, colleagues and external government departments. Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills, governance capabilities and rigorous attention to detail.
