Role Summary


The Accounting Manager oversees all core accounting functions and ensures accurate financial reporting, cash flow management, and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role partnering closely with operations and ownership to support sound financial decision-making in a retail environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting functions: AP, AR, billing, general ledger, reconciliations, payroll, collections


  • Lead month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis


  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including 1099s


  • Manage cash flow, ACH payments, lines of credit, and banking relationships


  • Coordinate budgets, forecasts, and financial projections


  • Ensure timely state and federal reporting, tax compliance, and certificate renewals


  • Oversee vendor and customer AR/AP, including follow-ups on past-due balances


  • Partner with operations and leadership on reporting, planning, and process accuracy


  • Maintain strict confidentiality, documentation, and compliance


  • Support team coverage and special projects as needed


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting


  • 5+ years of accounting experience (staff or senior level)


  • Strong knowledge of GAAP


  • Advanced skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis


  • Proven leadership, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities


  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Details

  • $85,000 - $105,000 base salary
  • Full-Time, W2
