Are you a hands-on IT Systems Administrator who enjoys solving complex technical issues just as much as delivering infrastructure projects?

We're partnering with a well-established organisation in the education sector seeking a IT Senior Systems Administrator to join their technology team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a diverse role where you'll split your time between managing complex Level 3 technical escalations and driving technology projects that have a real impact on the broader business.

Located just a short walk from Central Station, this role offers exposure to a modern technology environment, a broad range of technologies and the opportunity to influence future systems and infrastructure initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Acting as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, systems and cloud issues
  • Managing and optimising Microsoft 365 environments
  • Supporting and administering Google Workspace
  • Maintaining server, network and cloud infrastructure
  • Managing backups, disaster recovery and business continuity processes
  • Delivering infrastructure upgrades, migrations and improvement projects
  • Working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for systems enhancement
  • Contributing to cyber security, risk management and technology roadmaps

About You

You'll bring:

  • Experience as a Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer or similar
  • Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience
  • Exposure to Google Workspace environments
  • Experience across Windows Server, networking and cloud technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • The ability to balance operational support with project delivery
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience within schools, education, universities or other complex multi-user environments will be highly regarded.
