The Role
You’ll provide electrical engineering expertise across a diverse portfolio of projects, with exposure to medium and high voltage systems, substations, transmission and distribution networks, renewable energy and transport infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and delivering concept, feasibility and detailed electrical designs
• Working across substations, switchgear, transformers, protection and control, earthing and power distribution systems
• Supporting renewable energy, battery storage, grid connection, transmission and distribution projects
• Providing technical input across multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Managing engineering packages, design reviews, technical risks and stakeholder interfaces
• Supporting proposals, tenders and business development activities
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers

The Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Strong post-graduate experience in electrical/power engineering
• Experience in one or more of transmission, distribution, substations, renewables, BESS, grid connections, rail/traction power or industrial power
• Strong knowledge of power system design, protection, switchgear, transformers, earthing and network integration
• Experience taking projects from concept and detailed design through to construction and commissioning
• Consulting experience is highly desirable
• RPEQ/CPEng or eligibility to obtain is advantageous
