Registered Nurse

Location: Moama (x2), other positions available at Corowa, Deniliquin, Young, Parkes Worktype: Permanent or 3 month contract Salary: Permanent $44.67 per hour + penalties / $60+ an hour - 3 month contract Hours: Choice of fixed shifts – weekday morning or afternoon and/or weekend (no rotating rosters) Why join this organisation? The role: This organisation wants nurses who care for people, not just their conditions, by providing care in line with individual plans, best practice principles and living up to their closely held values and mission. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and managing the initial and on-going assessment of nursing care for residents Developing personal care plans that identify and meet the individual needs of residents and responding to changes as appropriate Reviewing all residents’ needs frequently, including behaviour assessments, observations, medications and wound documents and charts Participating in care plan evaluations - quarterly at a minimum Ensuring that all documentation required by and related to the provision of quality care for all residents is prepared, maintained, monitored, evaluated and up to date in accordance with policies and procedures About you: Your experience in caring for older people means you listen to and understand their needs and support them to have the richest lives they can, under your care. You are skilled in maintaining high standard care and support services that vulnerable older people need and appreciate. In addition, you will have: Qualification as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with general registration (essential) A Certificate III in Community Services (Aged Care) or equivalent (not essential) Ability to lead or be involved with staff development and training of Care Service Employees Stakeholder management skills, including the ability to liaise with medical and allied health professionals, resident’s family members and facilities management team Experience in all aspects of Workplace Health & Safety, reporting incidents, complying with policies and contributing to Return to Work programs Numeracy skills particularly reconciliations and statistics A current driver’s licence Health requirements This organisation has a commitment to the safety and well-being of their clients and staff, as such all employees must already be (or have the willingness to be) triple vaccinated against COVID-19.
