Senior Financial Accountant

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing ASX listed enterprise which delivers a market leading portfolio of branded products and services to consumers both in Australia and internationally. The business is headquartered in Melbourne and supports a small and centralised finance team which is professional, forward-looking and values focused.

Reporting directly to the CFO you will primarily be responsible for preparing periodic financial accounts and consolidated monthly management reports for several entities in the Group, reviewing and analysing actuals vs budget and forecasts, treasury reporting & cashflow monitoring, supporting compliance with external statutory reporting requirements and for ensuring that the business meets its periodic Direct and Indirect taxation compliance requirements. As a key member of a small Head Office team you will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to the broader enterprise, by working collegially with a range of stakeholders both locally and regionally to ensure that the finance function continues to effectively support the ongoing needs of a small and rapidly growing business.

You are likely to be a qualified CA/CPA who is now seeking a broadly scoped role in industry as part of your continued professional development. The opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial mid-market ASX listed enterprise may also appeal to you. You might already possess some industry experience, either gained in a similar role in a Corporate or SME environment, or you might be a Chartered Accountant seeking to move into industry for the first time. Prior experience in an ASX listed reporting environment is preferred but not essential. In either case you should possess a collegial & professional work ethic, well developed technical accounting skills and a strong working knowledge of Direct/Indirect taxation compliance.
