Apply directA highly respected and trusted financial services institution, our client is an established, market-leading and mutually owned business committed to remaining at the forefront of its industry. Renowned for its focus on customer and investor outcomes, this is a rare opportunity for a senior governance professional to drive the highest standards of governance in a part-time role, structured as either three full days or shorter hours across four days.
Reporting to the CRO and working closely with the CEO, Chair and Executive Team, you will provide strategic company secretarial and corporate governance advice across the business, driving continual improvement in policies and practices. You will coordinate and support the effective operation of the Board and its Committees, maintain Company Registers and records, and prepare Board agendas and minutes, while building effective relationships with key stakeholders to deliver independent, pragmatic governance advice to the Chair and Directors.
As an experienced governance professional, you will have a proven track record in a Company Secretary role gained within a complex and highly regulated environment, ideally within financial services. Alternatively, you may be a Deputy Company Secretary ready to step into full ownership of the function. You will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in law or business and bring sound commercial judgment and executive presence, particularly at Board level. Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and an ability to excel within a highly collegiate environment are essential. This is a compelling opportunity for a pragmatic governance professional to make a genuine difference within a purpose-driven, member-owned business with a strong people focus.
