Senior Legal Counsel

This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing, PE-backed Australian business with an increasingly international footprint. Our client is a well-established, nationally significant organisation known for a vertically integrated operating model and a long track record of growth, offering a broad and commercially complex environment. The business is now seeking a senior lawyer to join its high calibre in-house legal team as the company moves through a transformational growth phase.

Reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary and working within a tight knit legal team, you will provide sound legal advice across a combination of complex transactional matters, including domestic and cross-border M&A, joint ventures and international expansion initiatives. You will also gain exposure to a diverse range of day to day commercial matters including contracting, governance and risk management.

This pivotal role will suit a commercially minded lawyer at Senior Associate level in private practice or equivalent level in-house, with demonstrated experience advising on M&A and other complex corporate transactions. Self-motivated, intuitive and responsive, you will forge strong working relationships across the business as it grows.
