Our client are seeking a Claims Specialist to join a high-performing team responsible for assessing and managing complex claims across life and health related portfolios.
 
  
The Opportunity
As a Claims Specialist, you will play a key role in the assessment, management and resolution of Life & Health claims, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes while balancing commercial considerations and client service excellence.
  
You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, providing technical expertise and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the claims function.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage Life & Health claims in accordance with policy and contractual provisions
• Review medical, financial and occupational information to support claim decisions
• Liaise with insurers, claimants, medical professionals and advisers to obtain relevant information
• Provide technical claims guidance and recommendations on complex cases
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements
• Contribute to process improvement and operational excellence initiatives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally

  
About You

• Minimum 5 years experience within Life Insurance claims
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to interpret policy wording and assess complex claims scenarios
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Relevant industry qualifications will be highly regarded
