The Role:
The Solutions Architect role is a critical function that sits between sales, product, and engineering. You’ll work directly with senior stakeholders inside major European banks, translating business objectives into scalable, compliant, and technically robust solution designs. This is not just about drawing up architectures — it’s about becoming a trusted advisor, guiding banks through the complexities of digital transformation and helping them adopt cloud-native technology with confidence. You’ll influence both pre-sales engagements and delivery projects, ensuring that the solutions proposed are realistic, scalable, and aligned to the client’s long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead workshops with client stakeholders to capture business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop detailed architectural blueprints for SaaS deployments across digital banking and payments.
- Provide technical leadership during RFPs, ensuring responses showcase the platform’s capabilities in a compelling, compliant way.
- Act as a subject matter expert on EU regulations (PSD2, MiFID II) and ensure all proposed solutions align with regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to validate and refine solution designs.
- Advise clients on best practices in open banking, cloud adoption, and API-led integration.
- Support internal teams by sharing field insights, influencing product roadmap and delivery models.
- Mentor junior solution consultants and support regional pre-sales teams.
- 5+ years’ experience in solution architecture or enterprise architecture, ideally in financial services.
- Strong technical knowledge of APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Demonstrated experience designing solutions for digital banking, payments, or core systems.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks in Europe, particularly PSD2 and MiFID II.
- Ability to operate confidently with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in German highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical mindset, able to simplify complexity for client decision-making.
