With an existing regional presence and established client relationships, the role offers the opportunity to build on strong foundations while identifying new avenues for growth.
The Role
As Technical Director / Regional Lead, you'll take responsibility for the overall performance and development of the regional ecology and environmental operation.
Your responsibilities will include:

Project Delivery: Ensuring the successful delivery of ecological and environmental projects, maintaining technical quality and commercial performance.

Strategic Growth: Contributing to regional business planning, identifying opportunities to expand services and supporting longer-term commercial objectives.
-
Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues across other environmental and technical disciplines to deliver coordinated solutions for clients.

Ideally, you'll have:
-
Significant experience within ecological consultancy, environmental management or a related discipline.
-
A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Ecology, Environmental Science or a similar subject.
-
Proven experience leading and developing technical teams.
-
Strong commercial and operational management skills, including responsibility for budgets, resources and financial performance.
-
Experience overseeing complex environmental projects and ensuring successful delivery.
-
A track record of developing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
-
Experience contributing to major tenders, framework agreements or strategic client accounts.
-
Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
-
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
-
Membership of a relevant professional body.
You'll be someone who enjoys taking responsibility, making decisions and supporting others to succeed, while maintaining a clear focus on business performance and client relationships.
What Makes This Opportunity Different?

You'll have responsibility across three key areas:
