IT Project Manager – Enterprise Applications & Digital Services
Contract: 12 Months
Rate: Up to $1,120 per day
Location: Sydney CBD (3 days onsite / 2 days WFH)

A leading public sector organisation is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support the delivery of a major Enterprise Applications and Digital Services program.
 

This role will lead the delivery of complex application and software-focused initiatives across a large and fast-paced enterprise environment, working closely with senior business stakeholders, technology teams, and external delivery partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise application and digital transformation projects
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes
• Drive project delivery across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Coordinate business, technical, and vendor stakeholders across multiple workstreams
• Prepare business cases, governance papers, project reporting, and executive briefings
• Support procurement and vendor engagement activities, including RFx processes
• Ensure delivery aligns with organisational governance frameworks and compliance requirements
• Facilitate project governance forums, steering committees, and stakeholder reporting

Essential Requirements

• Extensive experience delivering complex application and software delivery projects (typically gained over 15+ years)
• Strong applications and back-end systems delivery experience within complex environments
• Proven track record delivering complex initiatives from inception through to deployment and operational transition
• Demonstrated experience owning complex project delivery from initiation through to operational handover
• Strong stakeholder management experience across executive, business, and technical teams
• Experience preparing business cases, governance documentation, procurement materials, and executive reporting
• Strong project governance, financial management, risk management, and delivery oversight capabilities
• Extensive Waterfall project delivery experience 

Desirable Requirements

• Experience supporting procurement and vendor management activities
• Exposure to enterprise back-end system transformation programs

You will be a delivery-focused Project Manager with deep experience delivering enterprise applications and software-led transformation initiatives within complex environments.

The environment is best suited to candidates who have previously delivered complex enterprise application initiatives across large, multi-stakeholder organisations.
