The Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely end-to-end payroll services. This includes:
- Processing weekly payroll for a high volume of employees
- Managing PAYE reconciliations and statutory reporting
- Responding to payroll queries with clarity and professionalism
- Maintaining compliance with NZ payroll legislation, including the Holidays Act
- Contributing to payroll process improvements and documentation
- Supporting internal audits and working closely with a variety of internal stakeholders
We’re looking for a technically strong, customer-focused payroll professional with:
- Proven end-to-end payroll experience in a medium to large business
- A solid understanding of NZ payroll legislation and compliance obligations
- High attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and a solutions-focused mindset
- Proficiency with modern payroll systems and Excel
- NZPPA certification or a finance-related qualification (preferred)
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- A team-oriented approach and a drive for continuous improvement
- Must have full NZ working rights
