About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our manufacturing team in Mesa. In this hands-on role, you will set up, operate, monitor, and maintain equipment used to produce high-performance Dyneema products. You will play a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while following strict safety, quality, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Safety, Security & Compliance

  • Follow all Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) and Security policies, procedures, and site requirements.
  • Immediately address unsafe behaviors and report any incidents, near misses, or observed risks to management.
  • Handle and manage hazardous materials and waste safely, including proper documentation, inspection, and transport within the facility when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company intellectual property and follow all security protocols (including restricted use of personal devices).

Production Operations

  • Set up, operate, adjust, and clean production equipment according to work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Run equipment safely and efficiently to meet quality and output targets.
  • Monitor process conditions and make approved adjustments to maintain product specifications.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Move raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as required.

Quality & Documentation

  • Conduct in-process quality checks and prepare samples for offline testing.
  • Accurately record raw materials used and products produced in computer systems and tracking tools.
  • Maintain complete and accurate production, quality, and process records.
  • Identify and report any issues that could affect product quality, packaging, efficiency, or safety.

Continuous Improvement & Teamwork

  • Troubleshoot equipment, setup, and process issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Participate in near-miss investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and job safety analyses (JSA).
  • Contribute to SHE, Quality, or other cross-functional improvement teams.
  • Support Manufacturing Excellence initiatives by following standardized work processes.
  • Complete and maintain all required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience (textile, composites, or similar production environment preferred) or equivalent military technical experience/training.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, data entry systems).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to detect process or product defects.
  • Ability to perform basic math and solve routine problems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to perform manual material handling and heavy lifting.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort with equipment assembly/setup.
  • Ability to read gauges, dials, meters, and controllers.
  • Willingness to work with and around hazardous materials under proper controls.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in continuous or batch manufacturing environments.
  • Existing forklift and/or overhead crane certification.
  • Experience with process troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and accurate production record-keeping.

Physical & Working Conditions

  • Stand, walk, and perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods.
  • Lift, push, pull, and move materials (heavy lifting required).
  • Work in a manufacturing environment that may involve noise, temperature variations, and exposure to chemicals/hazardous materials (with appropriate PPE and controls).
  • Use of PPE is mandatory.
  • Shift work may be required depending on production needs.
