An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Claims Advisor - Workers Compensation to join the Injury and Claims Management team on a contract basis.
About the Role
 
As the Claims Advisor - Workers Compensation, you will be responsible for delivering best practice workers compensation claims management while ensuring compliance with NSW legislation, SIRA and iCare requirements.
You will manage a varied portfolio of claims, provide expert advice to stakeholders, and support positive return-to-work outcomes while helping minimise claims costs and compensation premiums.
Working within a collaborative team environment, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide a high standard of customer service across the organisation.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage workers compensation claims in accordance with NSW legislation, SIRA and iCare guidelines.
  • Provide end-to-end case management across a diverse portfolio of workers compensation claims.
  • Work across self-insurance, self-administered and Treasury Managed Fund (TMF) claims as required.
  • Liaise with injured workers, managers, medical practitioners, rehabilitation providers, insurers and legal representatives to facilitate effective claim outcomes.
  • Monitor claim progress, identify risks and implement strategies to achieve timely and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
  • Respond to stakeholder enquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate claim records and documentation while ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Contribute to business improvement initiatives and support the ongoing development of claims management processes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality customer service.
About You
 
You are an experienced workers compensation professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing complex claims while providing outstanding stakeholder support.
 
You will demonstrate:
  • Previous experience managing workers compensation claims, ideally within a large and complex organisation.
  • Strong understanding of NSW Workers Compensation legislation, SIRA guidelines and iCare processes.
  • Proven experience in injury management and facilitating successful return-to-work outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and changing workloads.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation and compliance standards.
  • A collaborative approach with a strong commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency using claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
