Enterprise Applications Lead

About the Opportunity

A leading technology consultancy is seeking an experienced Enterprise Applications Lead to oversee a broad portfolio of business-critical applications for a large organisation operating across corporate and community-focused services.

This senior leadership role offers responsibility for the end-to-end management, governance, support and continuous improvement of enterprise applications supporting Finance, HR, Collaboration, Quality and Community Care functions.

You will act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, application vendors and managed service providers, ensuring reliable services, regulatory compliance and measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end service delivery across the enterprise application portfolio.
• Maintain application availability, performance, reliability and user satisfaction.
• Manage incidents, problems, service requests, changes and releases using ITIL practices.
• Lead major incident resolution and recovery of business-critical applications.
• Establish service health dashboards and operational reporting.
• Govern application roadmaps, upgrades, patching, vendor releases and technical debt.
• Lead application rationalisation, modernisation and optimisation initiatives.
• Ensure effective lifecycle governance from application onboarding through retirement.
• Manage application vendors and managed service providers, including SLA, KPI and contractual performance.
• Work with SIAM functions on vendor reviews and escalation management.
• Oversee application enhancements through Agile ways of working.
• Coordinate testing, UAT, deployment planning and release governance.
• Support the successful delivery of business improvement initiatives.
• Maintain application risk registers and remediation plans.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Strengthen security, access governance and regulatory compliance across enterprise platforms.
• Identify automation, optimisation and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Use platform analytics to improve adoption and business outcomes.
• Lead application support teams, analysts, vendors and subject-matter experts.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 12 years of enterprise application management experience.
• At least five years leading enterprise application portfolios.
• Strong experience managing SaaS and COTS business applications.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience working across multi-tiered and distributed technology environments.
• Experience managing offshore and distributed support teams.
• Demonstrated success leading application transitions and service stabilisation programs.
• Strong ITIL experience, with ServiceNow exposure preferred.

• Information security controls
• Regulatory compliance

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• ITIL Foundation or Intermediate certification
• Agile or Scrum certification
• Service delivery management experience
• Experience within community care or aged care environments
• Exposure to digital transformation and enterprise application modernisation programs
