About the Company

Davidson Technology are working with a leading Federal Government Agency to secure an experienced APS6 Compliance Case Manager to support compliance, governance and regulatory case management activities.

Our client plays an important role in delivering nationally significant digital services and systems, supporting improved outcomes through secure, accessible and connected technology.

The organisation operates within a complex regulatory environment, working closely with government stakeholders, technology providers and industry partners to ensure compliance requirements are met and operational risks are effectively managed.

About the Role

As the Compliance Case Manager, you will support the implementation and coordination of compliance case management processes relating to conformance sunsetting and associated transition risks within a Federal Government environment.

You will coordinate case management activities across the full lifecycle, including case identification, triage, evidence collection, assessment support, monitoring, escalation and closure. You will maintain accurate case registers, evidence logs, milestone trackers and supporting documentation to ensure compliance matters are managed effectively and decisions are supported by reliable information.

The role will involve coordinating communications with software vendors, managing information requests, tracking outstanding actions and ensuring relevant milestones and compliance obligations are met. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, technical specialists, program teams and industry partners to gather and assess information relating to conformance status, testing progress, implementation risks and service continuity.

You will also prepare case documentation, briefings, reports, templates and governance materials to support evidence-based recommendations and decision-making. The role will require strong analytical capability, attention to detail and the ability to identify risks, information gaps and opportunities to improve case management processes, reporting and data quality.

The position is a full-time contract opportunity, working 37.5 hours per week, with locations available across Queensland, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Hybrid working arrangements are available, subject to operational requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Compliance Officer, Case Manager, Governance Officer, Assurance Officer or risk and compliance professional with a strong background supporting operational, regulatory or compliance activities within Federal Government or a similarly complex and regulated environment.

You will bring demonstrated experience coordinating case management or compliance processes, including managing records, tracking actions and milestones, maintaining registers and supporting evidence-based assessments and decisions. You will have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgement and work independently with limited direction.

Experience gathering, analysing and managing information from multiple sources will be essential. You will be confident identifying inconsistencies, assessing risks, maintaining accurate documentation and preparing clear reports, briefings and recommendations for internal stakeholders and decision-makers.

You will possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated experience working collaboratively with vendors, internal teams and senior stakeholders. You will be comfortable coordinating information requests, managing sensitive discussions, explaining requirements and maintaining productive relationships to achieve outcomes.

Experience within APS case management, regulatory compliance, governance, assurance, risk management, PMO or contract management environments will be highly regarded. Exposure to vendor compliance, operational risk, process improvement or digital service environments will also be advantageous.

The successful candidate must be able to obtain a Baseline security clearance.

The Benefits

This is an opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant Federal Government organisation, supporting compliance and governance activities that help ensure the effective management of technology conformance requirements and associated transition risks.

You will work collaboratively with stakeholders across government, technology providers and industry partners, gaining exposure to regulatory compliance, vendor engagement, governance and operational risk management within a complex technology environment.

The role offers an initial contract of approximately seven months, with the potential for two 12-month extensions. Opportunities are available across Queensland, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, with hybrid working arrangements supporting flexibility and work-life balance.
