About the Role
As a Return to Work & Injury Management Partner, you will manage a portfolio of approximately 60–70 work and non-work-related injury cases, supporting employees from initial notification through recovery, return to work and resolution.

Working closely with injured employees, operational leaders, insurers, medical practitioners and allied health providers, you will develop and drive practical return to work strategies, manage suitable duties and proactively address barriers to recovery.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-end injury and workers' compensation case management
  • Managing a portfolio of approximately 60–70 active claims
  • Developing and monitoring return to work and recovery strategies
  • Supporting employees through complex or sensitive injury matters
  • Providing advice on Victorian workers' compensation requirements
  • Coordinating suitable duties and rehabilitation plans
  • Partnering with operational leaders, insurers and treating practitioners
  • Proactively managing new claims, statutory requirements and key deadlines
  • Participating in claims reviews and influencing claim strategy
  • Coaching leaders around early intervention and effective return to work practices
  • Maintaining accurate, compliant and confidential case documentation

About You
You will be an experienced injury management professional who combines strong technical knowledge with empathy, organisation and excellent communication skills.

To be successful, you will ideally bring:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in injury management, return to work and/or workers' compensation
  • Strong knowledge of the Victorian workers' compensation scheme
  • Demonstrated experience managing claims from initial notification through to resolution
  • Confidence managing a busy portfolio and competing priorities
  • Strong stakeholder management across employees, leaders, insurers and health professionals
  • A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to keep cases progressing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence supporting employees through difficult or distressing circumstances
  • Current Return to Work Coordinator certification, or relevant equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check

Experience within a large, multi-site or operational organisation will be highly regarded; however, industry background is flexible.
