An outstanding opportunity is available for two Unaccredited Urology Registrars to join a leading regional teaching hospital in Victoria, Australia, for a 12-month fixed-term appointment commencing February 2027.

This position offers excellent operative exposure across the full spectrum of contemporary urology, with particular emphasis on uro-oncology, minimally invasive surgery and reconstructive urology. Working alongside experienced FRACS-qualified Urologists, you will gain valuable clinical and surgical experience in a supportive, education-focused environment.

This role is ideal for surgical trainees preparing for accredited Urology training or seeking to strengthen their operative experience before applying for specialist programmes.

Position Highlights
  • Full-Time Fixed-Term appointment
  • 1 February 2027 – 6 February 2028
  • 86 hours per fortnight, including 10 hours protected training time
  • Salary in accordance with the Victorian Medical Officers Award

The Role As an Unaccredited Urology Registrar, you will:
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient urology patients.
  • Participate in elective and emergency operating lists.
  • Assist with major and complex urological procedures.
  • Participate in the Urology on-call roster.
  • Attend multidisciplinary meetings and educational sessions.
  • Work closely with consultant urologists, nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop increasing operative responsibility under specialist supervision.

Reconstructive Urology
  • Male reconstructive surgery

  • Urinary incontinence
  • Pelvic organ and vaginal prolapse
Participation in the on-call roster provides valuable experience managing acute urological presentations and surgical emergencies.
