Davidson is partnering with a growing Australian organisation operating across resource recovery, recycling and secure asset processing to appoint a National Operations Manager – Resource Recovery.

Reporting to the General Manager and leading approximately 3–4 Site Managers, you will oversee a growing network of processing facilities across Australia.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on making the national operation work efficiently, consistently and commercially – ensuring valuable assets and recovered materials are accurately tracked, effectively processed and moved through the right channels.

The opportunity

You will take ownership of operational performance across multiple sites, with responsibility for:

• Leading and developing Site Managers across the national network
• Establishing consistent operational processes, controls and performance standards
• Managing the receipt, tracking, processing, storage and movement of assets and recovered materials
• Maintaining strong inventory reconciliation, asset tracking and chain-of-custody controls
• Overseeing logistics and material movements between customers, facilities and downstream processors
• Driving productivity, labour efficiency, safety, cost and margin performance
• Maximising the recoverable value of processed materials and commodities
• Monitoring processing volumes, inventory movements and operational KPIs
• Supporting the establishment and mobilisation of new sites as the network expands
• Driving continuous improvement across systems, processes and operating models
• Maintaining strong safety, environmental and regulatory standards

About you

Your background could come from e-waste, metals recycling, resource recovery, secure asset recovery, reverse logistics, waste management, industrial processing, warehousing or logistics.

Direct recycling experience would be advantageous, but the priority is finding an accomplished operational leader with strong capability across:

• Logistics – transport, material movements, warehousing, scheduling and multi-site coordination
• Inventory control – reconciliation, stocktakes, shrinkage, chain of custody, asset tracking and audit
• Operations leadership – leading multiple sites and developing operational managers
• Commercial performance – improving productivity, labour utilisation, costs and margins
• Systems and process improvement – experience with ERP, WMS, inventory or production systems

Exposure to commodity pricing, recovered-material sales or downstream processors would be beneficial but isn't essential.

Leadership with purpose

You will bring a leadership style that combines clear commercial accountability with coaching, inclusion and people development.

Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people would be valued but isn't essential. Alignment with the organisation's purpose and a willingness to undertake cultural competency training are important.
