An HVAC Technician (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician) is a skilled tradesperson who installs, maintains, and repairs systems that control temperature, humidity, and air quality in buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Install new HVAC units in homes, offices, or industrial buildings

  • Perform routine maintenance to keep systems running efficiently

  • Troubleshoot and fix issues like broken parts, leaks, or wiring problems

  • Ensure systems meet safety and environmental standards (like refrigerant handling)

Qualifications and Skills

  • HVAC certification (e.g., EPA 608)

  • 2+ years of HVAC experience

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments

  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge

  • Problem-solving and diagnostics

  • Understanding of HVAC codes and regulations

  • Physical stamina and attention to detail
